About our Customer

The customer is a wealth management company that offers their customers a wide range of self-directed retirement accounts. The company provides self-directed IRA, real estate, and other financial services for customers across the United States.

Key Business Challenge

The company had been using a cumbersome PDF form generated by DocuSign that was limiting their ability to receive applications for new products online and automate the onboarding process.

  • PDF application was cumbersome and confusing, with a poor user experience and high error rate

  • Application needed to be emailed into the organization, potentially losing leads and resulting in confusion

  • Stages of the application couldn’t be tracked in Salesforce, offering limited visibility to pipeline

  • Processing application required a significant amount of manual effort without notifications and workflows

  • Salesforce Configuration – The complex Salesforce Configuration was highly customized for the retirement account with objects for account and relationship management

  • DocuSign Usage – The organization leveraged DocuSign for contracting, but had limited integration with Salesforce and no automated processes

In addition to automating key aspects of the onboarding process, the project included a comprehensive user experience and design phase to ensure the application was easy to fill out, visually impactful, contained tool tips and other help features, and guided the user through the process. The goal was to present the user with a more positive experience and capture more accurate applications.
