Satya Nadella addresses the Inspire partner event

Addressing partners at Inspire, Microsoft’s recent annual partner event, CEO Satya Nadella focused on the intelligent cloud and the industry’s “unprecedented opportunity” to bring the digital experience across devices while making it rich and distributed.

With users no longer bound to a single computer, phone or other device, the digital experience now travels across mediums, with artificial intelligence being built into every application in an effort to take data and compute to where it’s generated – whether that be in a home, car, hospital or business.

To make this all happen, developers need a backend that supports the intelligent cloud with emerging technology such as containers and server-less compute. At the same time, future growth depends on the industry’s ability to move past current product category definitions and business models.

Nadella said the industry must also change how it goes to market and better serve customers with core solution areas to enable this digital transformation, pointing to four key solution areas:

  • The empowerment of employees
  • The engagement of customers
  • The optimization of operations
  • The transformation of products

These four areas, as well as other ideas from Nadella’s Inspire address, will be explored in future posts. KORCOMPTENZ is a certified partner of Microsoft with extensive expertise across their cloud, enterprise and productivity software including Dynamics, Azure, and Office 365.
